I'm not a particularly skilled arist yet but I'm slowly improving at least I hope I am. Book the Gangster is a character from a comic idea I had about a virtual world where everyone has an alter ego. He's a bibliomaniac and at first glance seems harmless but his brain functions on a higher plain then most so he has killer response times when he decides words alone are not enough. Practice doing folds. My skills with clothing are next to none so I've been forcing my self to sit and look at my blanket in different positions. and more illogical folds. Also an attempt to do a picture that doesn't need inked lines. This picture has everything covered but by water not clothes so I'm only linking it. It's a rough sketch I did and scanned in to use while teaching my art teacher about Adobe photoshop and how to digitally color. Student teaching the teacher ^__^ img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/sileath/pg1008copy.jpg

I remember your art from a couple of years ago. It's amazing how much you improved in such a short time! The themes are so moody and you conveythat so well!

:3 Thanks. I'm still not quite at the level I want to be at but I'm slowly getting there. My goal this year is to learn how to draw a decent action pose. which probably means learning and practicing foreshortening more.

I've been on a frenzy attempting new poses and such. Haha and here's a couple poses i was practicing. They're pictures of Tyde's mom and dad. Its sort of a bittersweet love story. Nari is not the type to cry, she's the optimistic energy ball so if she's crying then tou know something really bad has happened of is happening. Josem died before Tyde was born, but he died knowing he was a father and knowing that he wouldn't be leaving Naria all alone. ^_^ Naria was a foster kid, with too much energy for anyone to want to adopt. She ran away in her teens and found herself near a beach. Josem was out on the waves that day by himself. Naria watched him in awe. Josem fell into the water and was going to be pulled to the rocks. Naria in a fit of terror for the man took control of the water. Josem was thankful but before he could ask the girl more than her name she had run off .... dun dun dun

Okay, bad me...I totally thought it was an Oedipus type relationship. >_< Sorry...
I really like the back story you put into all the characters. You definitely have a good set up. Is this prepping for the NaNoWriMo?? I think there's also a NaNoWriYe. (write a novel in a year...much more doable for us busy folks). XD

lol nope Tyde is named after his daddy. XD he doesn't know that though!
And you caught me. As soon as I thought up Tyde and Naria this whole back story started to happen. So it's hopefully going to be the story I do for Nanowrimo.

I'm really getting into this planning for nanowrimo thing. ^_^ the novel i've plotted out to write is about Naria and how she became who she is, love, action and dark tragedy plus humor cause its Nari ...and Tyde got his lovable nature from someone. She's the connecting factor between Josem and Tyde ;;; so if I like the novel I may write book 1 on Josem and book 3 on Tyde. Anyway~ Quick sketches I did while brain storming scenes. Josem and Naria were one of the most lethal team combinations in tournaments. A young Josem. a daddy and son moment that never really happens. ^_^; Tyde doesn't even know who his dad is.

I have even more I could put up too. I've attempted 2-3 new poses every other day this month so far. but i've only successfully drawn and been happy with maybe...5?
Next month my arting will slow to a crawl so I need to get in as much practice as I can now!

;D My desktop for the month of November. I didn't want anything complicated, but I wanted to be able to look at it and get the mood of the story I'll be writing. I hope I can capture thier bitter sweet scenes a lot better with words than I do with art. title pending, I'm still wondering if I should call the novel Siren Ballads : the pain of love, Forgotten chorus, or something else.

Ahh...motivation. That's why my desktop currently reflects the game I'm playing. Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past.
Even if you don't finish, do you think you will post up your story? I'd like to read it.
