Hello! I finally got around to using our new drawing tablet myself the other day. This is a picture of Athena's daughter from when we went to Potrerro War (Yes, we're in the SCA) and she came with us. Athena is gonna make it all nice and pretty, but I just wanted to post the first thing I have ever drawn with a tablet. It was difficult, not only 'cause I'm not used to the tablet, but also 'cause PhotoShop thinks I'm a wuss. =3 Thanks!

So, I was just wanting to mess with my tablet myself some, but didn't know what to do, so I just took an old picture I had drawn (fan art of Marron and Lucius at the Jr. Prom) and colored it. I guess it could be used as filler art sometime if need be, or just call it fan art. Ok? Cool. Bye.

Awww...that looks great. You said you colored this? Lucius looks like he was colored with markers. Did you use the marker technique?

Marker Technique? Heheh... My computerized coloring skillz have mad weaknesses, caouse I dunno if i did or not. I just opened it in Photoshop, Athena showed me how to do layers for the different people (I did each one separately and then merged the layers for the final image), and then I used the brush tool. She is the one who knows what I did, I just messed around with my cool tablet. (I don't get to very often, she's always on it.) Anyway, yes, that is an example of what my computerized coloring skills are like. I think I like colored pencils and then a scanner (like what I did for the art exchange back at x-mas) just cause I'm more used to it, but I have to keep moving my art forward, so I had to do something different. Hope it's Ok. I unno if those two even would go to the Jr. Prom together or not, but still. They are friends, right?
=3
PS: Comic-Con, Sold Out, 98,000 people a day for Thursday through Sunday.
Urk... *Thump*

WE're back from Comic-Con. Whew! All the flyers vanished within minutes of being put out, so hopefully a few folks have hit the web site and looked at our stuff. My feet hurt. Athena took a bunch of pics of the con and I'll try and post a few of the good ones here just to let you all see what the crazyness was like.
Later!

On the master list of people I personally got to meet, unfortuneately the creators of Looking for Group fell to the wayside as I was busy meeting Forrest J. Ackerman, Jim Warren, Verne Langdon, Ray Bradbury, Dean Koontz, and a master list of over fourty others whom I could name drop about all day long (Not the least of whom was Max Brooks, son of Mel Brooks and author of the "Zombie Survival Guide" and "World War Z"). Anyway, I love to brag, but right now I'll wait until I see what pics Athena has that I can brag about instead! (If you really want me to though, I could list everyone I got to personally meet, shake hands with, introduce myself to, and then escort around for a few minutes.)
Athena says I should stop bragging now. I will, because my favorite part of each day was going back to the hotel and snuggling with her while my feet came back to life. (She even has video of the Masquerade Ball from saturday night... Ohhhhh...!!! I missed it, was sleeping.)
One last note, we even got invited to a party at the penthouse suite of the Manchester Grand Hyatt. It was Ok. There was pizza, and soda, and sharks. Lots of sharks.

Hihi Everyone! My comic (Karen the Marilith) is hitting her big 150th page at the end of november. Since you all are the greatest art community buddies in existance I thought I would go ahead and post her 150th page image here first kinda as a thank you for supporting my arting and being cool and all that. So, here is where my art has progressed to in a year and a half of drawing: I drew it in pencil, inked karen and the egg in black, inked the building and the background in sepia, colored the whole thing with pencil, and scanned it on my bosses computer. The original looks much better so I may try and re-scan it when I get home to see if my scanner does a better job of it. The funny thing is, the entire time I was drawing this I was singing: It was an ittsy-bittsy teeny-weeny yellow polka dot bikini that she wore for the first time that day! heheh... This also marks the first time I have ever done a colored image of Karen myself. Several others have done colored pics of her with a little input from me as to what I think she looks like, but I've never colored her myself before, so this is my official color chart for her as well. Thanks, hope you like. Later!

Great stuff. I like your first work on the tablet. I still can't draw with my tablet >_> so kudos! I like the dead dragon in last pic. Yes ... I'm morbid Maybe that's why I like Karen the Marilith so much ^__^ That and it shares the same initials as a certain assassin!

Thank you BB! I did more coloring with photoshop and my tablet. The image is an amalgamation of several images put together and then the whole thing was colored by me. (I didn't draw it but I photoshopped it together.) (In other news, I gave my thumb a flat top by chopping off the tip with a cheeze slicer today. My left thumb is wrapped in gauze and makes my whole left hand almost unuseable.) It isn't shaded, but I did a much more complex coloring and detail job then last time. I did this one next. Yes, I spent all day Veterans Day sitting and coloring pictures with my tablet. Again, I didn't draw it but I did photoshop it extensively and the colored it myself.

Karen is really a challenge to draw. ...six hands...seriously man! Congrats on 150 pages of that!
