Only 50 pages of reading? I remember those days...when it was ONLY 50. Grad school kicks my arse so hard-core these days. I have to make 2 presentations this weekend, read 3 chapters (I haven't even counted pages.) and help my professor prepare for the class I assist. but my cat Whiskers comes home from the vet hospital today. He had to have surgery on his ear due to a major infection. Poor kitty. Oh and next week I have to go home and attend my sister's Confirmation. (Catholic thing.) What this means to you: I probably won't be on the forum often but I am on my email like nobody's business. (I have to be for my job.) So if you neeeeed me catch me on the email. Otherwise, the impromanga is now on autopilot. *falls asleep at the wheel*

It's only pages because it's an anthology of Early Modern Japanese Literature... no chapters involved... I apparently also have to read the entirety of "Oku no Hosomichi" by Basho... although hopefully that will be over the course of the semester, rather than by Monday... u.u
Thanks for your patience az. However the cows came home yesterday after the AnSci majors chased them around for a bit (my room mate is Pre-Vet/AnSci ^_^), so you'll have to settle for waiting until I come home to my room.
On the super plus side, I have this whole weekend off, and I get to hang out with my little sister a bit, which is nice... especially since the last time I hung out with her this week it was because she was in the hospital and didn't want to sit there alone the whole time (long story)...

Um... Just curious, but where's Bluebug these days? KM hasn't updated in over 6 months and the last thing I can find that she said was that she would explain why it hadn't updated in a week, but that was almost 3 months ago now. Is everything Ok? Bluebug?

Whiskers is better now...he's got the tube out of his ear today. Tomorrow I shall post pictures of "SPACE CAT". Which is both sad and funny.
Anyway, I have been in touch with bb recently...as in a couple days ago. I can shed some sort of light on what's going on. First, for most of the summer, bb was in Europe on vacation. When she returned she moved to a new city I believe and new job...I think. She's been trying to find a routine that will allow her to do the comic but she hasn't had much time to even email! I colored some of her pages last month so there is a colored page sitting on her hard-drive. She has a forum where she posts occasionally to prove she's not dead.

I miss bb... KM was the first webcomic where I really got involved with the community... and learned that webcomic artists are human too. ^_^
It was also one of the first webcomics I read, period.

It was Bluebug's encouragement that finally got me to start my own webcomic, and KM was one of the first webcomics I faved and read on a regular basis, so it not updating really leaves me in the lurch. It's good to hear that Whiskers is doing well. Space Kitty? Sounds like it should be a spin-off comic from that old Muppets routine 'Pigs in Space'! heheh... Tube in his ear? Ohhhh... Glad that's gone! In other news from me: Shiroikami - I had to make a total of 4 pages out of the 2 scripted ones I was supposed to do. The first two of those 4 are drawn and inked and Waxengoddess is in the process of coloring them as well. She asked how long we had to get our pages done, and as I didn't know how long it would take James to finish the first half of the script I told her ten days. The other two pages (what was scripted as page 4) should be drawn by the end of the week and inked by monday. Again, Waxen is going to color as much as we can before we hit the (arbitrarilly created) ten day dead-line, but if we have more time then that, let us know so she can put more time and fun into her coloring. She really enjoys that part (and has been looking up colored pages earlier in the comic to try and get all the shades and variations right as well), so the more time I can give her to color, the better it looks. Anyway, that's just my little info update for today. I'll blather on about more again tomorrow. Can't wait to see 'Whiskers the Space Cat & Gentleman Adventurer,' coming to a random post near you soon! Heheheh!!!

Awwwwsss!!! Space CAT! heheh... He's a cutie kitty. Cool, ten days. I've had to turn the two pages of script into 4 pages of comic, but they should all be ready to go at about the same time. Just one more page to pencil whip and hand to Waxengoddess for ink and color.

Two into four? I didn't think my pages were THAT dialogue-intensive!!
Ah well, I wait with bated breath to see the final outcome. ^_^

Part of the reason I had to spread it like that is that I hand write all the dialog on the page, so I don't use a standardized size 12 font or anything. (If I did, it probably would be more legible, but I digress...) It's just my style. I prefer larger pictures with nicely detailed backgrounds and flow, and lots of dialog on a page partially obscures my wonderfully crafted backgrounds! It's actually kinda funny. I spent more time trying to figure out what to make the various backgrounds look like and making them look nice then I did actually drawing the characters. The people are easy, the trees, now they're the hard part. hehehe!!

Ya, I find when I want to do a scene change, I want to get a good establishing shot of the area. That's pretty much why I'm doing more than 2 pages.

Ok, I've finished the drawing of all my pages for Shiroi's script and passed them to Waxen for Inking. This raises a question though. If this was the round 12 script, but I drew part of it, does that mean it also counts as the round 13 script, or do I now have to script and draw the round 13 pages as well? Just curious, not that I would mind or anything. Mod?
