It's true!! Got a working FTP program and have already made a super cheesy test page for the impromanga. Of course it's got quite a ways to go. So, here's where the comic will be located: www.sass-studio.com/impromanga/So... ya... Much more work needs to be done. Expect more perhaps even later today or reasonably soon. (Wow, what a big huge responsibility this is! Kinda cool though working so close with Sass!)

I'm glad to help your team out with something too. Saves me lots of trouble. And all for the affordable price of free. XD Thanks so much for your work. Holler if you need anything.

Well, my team ditched me or rather the impromanga site... They found another site that was easier to do (lazy bums...). So it's actually just me. I'm the only one who knows the password and such since I didn't give it to any of them, so that's safe. Midterms are over, so hopefully I'll be able to get more done. But since I no longer have a team helping me and this is no longer for marks, I can take any help. I don't know any PHP yet (though I will learn some later in class) so assistance would be great. Just learned a bit of CSS so I'll be tweaking things again... Ok! Got my Final Fantasy music cranked to get me hyped up! Time to get more work done!

AW, that sucks. I gave them specifications and everything!
Well, I can help out a bit if you'd like. I've got macromedia dreamweaver and we can impliment PHP later...maybe. It'd probably just be best to use HTML at this point. XD
thanks a bunch man...you rock.

Aw, that's too bad. They're missing a great opportunity. We're going to get so many hits it would have made them a famous designing team. Or something ... XD I don't the page will be that difficult to conceive, especially now that it's not for your class project. There's some script floating around somewhere that allows webcomics to use the same system as Keenspace/comicgenesis in terms of viewing and organizing pages. I suggest we just use that. Unless you want to reinvent the wheel for interest's sake, James. Eh ... I googled it. Here's the keenspace script link: www.keenspot.com/downloads/Here's a bunch of links to other scripts (haven't looked at them so I don't know what they are, but they're for comics!) buzzcomix.net/community/viewtopic.php?t=5323&sid=9904f1c0ef7b546dc580b75e36300e53

bb, you are so smart and that's why I luv you. Sometimes I wish my common sense wouldn't book vacations to Bali so often. Guess she found some hot guy there or something yeah. XD Use the script from the Keenspace page.
Drowtales is really touchy about no one using their script that's why I was going to figure it out myself.

Aw, you're so sweet. Hopefully the script's not too hard to use, but keenspace is rather good with giving out instructions, so I imagine it'll be rather self explanatory. Now all we need are cool navigation buttons!
What sort of theme is the website going to have? Half techie half fantasy??

I dunno... I've been trying to figure it out as I go along. I have some temparary buttons and such which I made. Some stuff I think needs a bit more tweaking though. I'll try more graphics stuff out and I'll look at those scripts too. Funny since this should already be something I'm sort of used to with FrostBite. Oh... Creative juices flowing again!

James is swamped, so I thought I'd help with the site. Only the first three menu links work so far, but the archive system is up. Over Christmas I'll reorganize everything we have on the forums so far, including page rules and stuff. www.sass-studio.com/impromanga/home.html

No probs. I need to figure out how to insert a comments script in there. I want people to be able to comment on the comics. I also need to mess with the menu ... I should put up a links section and maybe get rid of the join button. Are we accepting new members? Oh yeah .. and a contact session. *thinking aloud*

Hmm... y'know, if I actually knew anything about setting up websites, I would totally offer to give an assist on that... unfortunately, all I can do is upkeep, ie. once a site is setup I can update and things like that... which is exactly what I do as my school's anime club's webmaster...

Thanks for offering, Shiroi. S'alright, though. I have the bulk of the work down ... okay, not really, but most of the actual site infrastructure is finished. I just finished fixing the comments script after 3 hours >_>; I kept running into problems because the program is very finicky about where it's loaded. Anyway, I'm terribly happy because it works.
Now everyone can post comments on every single comic if they wanted to. It's pretty cool. The only think I have to do is tweak it so that the style is the same as the rest of the site.
So yeah ... that said, I was planning on working on shading and coloring the comic pages, but because I was so adamant on getting the darn script working ... I didn't touch the comic pages. Turns out James no longer has a modem so we're running into workload issues. If worst comes to worst we'll just upload everything in ink rather than in color.
