The original idea behind the team system was to compensate for the fact that we had 12 artists working on this comic at one point. Each individual had a month to complete a page so it would take a long time for artist turn-around.
Now we don’t have that problem anymore and I think the team system is making things slow down as well as making less people available. What I mean is if 4 people are available and 3 are on a team, that’s 3 people who can not participate next round although they are available.
At the same time, I realize many artists have only been available to write because of technical/real life issues. (Jobs, computers etc.)
My suggested solution would be to dissolve the team system all together and have one person work on pages per month. Everyone involved can collaborate on writing aspects. The spoiler thread should act as a guide/psuedo script for the artist. If they need dialogue spelled out we can do it on the forum. It also helps with script planning for future rounds if we do things this way.
Round 12 can be a team effort but afterwards I think it would be best to dissolve the team system and work individually.
Thoughts? Concerns? Questions?

I think you bring up good points. A bonus thing that comes to mind with the new approach is that everyone can ensure that their character will be... well... in character.

So the spoiler thread becomes a sort of 'guide book' for the individual artist, and the characters various creators would be able to answer any questions the artist might have about thier characters reaction to a given situation through the 'guide book' spoiler thread?

@james: I don't think we've had much of a problem with in-character as far as I know.
@az: Yes, the Spoiler thread all along was suppose to act as guide for anyone writing/creating pages. It's basically a summary of things we decided in the plot discussion thread without having to wade through so many pages of posts. ^^
Anything the individual artist is struggling with can be requested in the spoiler thread. Scripts, scenario, dialogue, character specifications...anything.
Thanks for the feedback. Sorry, I keep changing how things are run. We have lots of interesting ideas going back and forth and I'm getting excited about the story again. Especially since we are getting a clearer idea of our adversaries' motives. that's something we were foggy on before.
I think an artist might work faster on his/her own too. Az has be unable to start pages because he's waiting on mischa and I'm sure if we all just collaborated on an idea he could have run with it. ^^

No, you're right. I still believe it will prevent future issues that may have occurred though. And even if people are still in character, the players can still tweak their dialog to match their characters perfectly.
