In random uncomic related news, I finally caved and bought a Macbook and iPod touch. I fell victim to the promotion that they're having now ... where you get a rebate for an iPod touch if you buy a Macbook. My currently computer can be such a slug sometimes ... I do hope the Mac is better and faster. It's prettier, at least And the iPod touch looks like a nifty little gadget. I'm looking forwad to all the little games I can play on it - ahem - I mean all the work I'm going to get done. It's my Christmas in July.

As usual, trying to work on 4 projects at once. No wonder I'm slow. Ah welps, here's a preview of the commission I owe James since forever. Trying a new style of coloring. In random news, I'm currently melting because I have no air conditioning and my apartment is 30 degrees even at night. Gaaah.

Well, it's actually my friend Mike's commission, but I'm glad you still remember! James' skin tone may be a bit too dark for his pale Irish skin though, but I'm liking it so far! ^_^

Ah, good to know about the skin color. I'll tone it down a bit ... literally Hmm ... I still don't know what sort of enemies you want to be fighting though. Or what sort of background you want. And I hope Mike doesn't mind I took some liberties with Anron - I made him a bit rocker-ish with earrings and punkish hair and all. Eh ... I count anything comic or art-related as projects since it takes up a lot of time - so the new pages of the comic, the website redesign, the commission ... and ok that's three ... unless I count the spiffy new drawing of KM I'm going to add onto the website

Hmm... All Mike told me was that he wanted James and Anron to fight side by side. XP
I don't think Mike would mind at all with his character. It suits him honestly.
Let's make the background one of the open social areas of the castle. The castle itself is made of solid ice. The creators of the castle are/were those of good intentions, so the theme of the castle wouldn't be dark and foreboding, but bright and holy.
We can have a smattering of different enemies. Orcs, wraiths, necromancers, shadow elves, demons, ect... That may be too many detailed characters though. If it would be more reasonable to be fighting a hoard of simple shadow creatures, that would be alright too.

I tend to overload myself with projects too. ^^ I have a huge excel sheet with projects listed and their importance. Lots of my projects are definitely far back burner types.

JS: Hmm ... shadowy types sounds like a good idea I wish I was a good enough artist to just whip up dozens of enemies without thinking ... but I'm not Hmm ... I'm not so good at doing holy things ... I'm much more of a dark and foreboding type, but I'll try my best. The only thing I remember of Mike is that he looked like he was dressed like Reno from FFVII ... only that's just how he normally dresses . I figured the rockish thing would appeal to his tastes. Mod: I wish I was that organized. Things just tend to float over my head in a giant cloud until I finish them ... or forget about them XD Though the latter usually doesn't happen ... so I just walk around with an ever growing cloud of stuff. In other random news: Just saw Coldplay live. My second true large concert experience - it was pretty amazing. The pyrotechnics alone were worth the price of admission. And by some miracle of serendipity, fireworks happened to be going on at the same time, which was truly spectacular. To be honest, I'm not even a huge fan of Coldplay (the ironic thing is I use them during my travels as my "sleeping music" ie. music I use to fall asleep). Though, their music has grown on me over the years (I used to despise "Yellow"), and I have to admit they really put on an amazing show. It doesn't hurt that there was a music fest going on, so I ended up seeing about ten bands perform in addition to Coldplay. I'm a huge fan of live music but haven't been able to make it to any concerts for over a year, so it was great to be able to feed my love of music in a very big way. On a side note, these smilie icons are really making me realize how much I overuse smilies!!

Maybe his hair was red at the time... It's always changing. He wasn't even dressing up as anyone either. But ya, rockish would appeal to him. Also, I beg to differ about smilies, we don't have enough.

I'm not really that organized. My excel sheet is outdated already. I have more projects on my burners than exist on my sheet. XD
Wow that concert sounds AWESOME. I've never seen a big name band perform.

Coldplay is probably the biggest name I've seen perform. Though I did see Sarah McClaughlan many many moons ago when she was still churning out dozens of hits. It's funny because I just ran into one of my supervisors and she happened to be at the same concert which was in a different city. Such a coincidence.
